I don't know, I've been caught in a few blizzards I'd call natural disasters.

    Hey Jaxom!

Yeah, some of the blizzards are pretty brutal. Luckily it's never caused harm to me or my loved ones. I tend to like blizzards, well I suppose I should say I USED to before I moved to a place where I have to shovel!

Hi BK and Stasia! *gives 'em each a package of oreos* As 5Cats said, you've come during a down period for this board, more a result of real life happening to everybody than anything else I'd imagine. Nonetheless, a number of us do still make daily trips here, so do feel free to talk about whatever. New blood is always welcome.

S'cat: I don't know all the specifics (mainly 'cause I've not bothered to look them up) but to my mind, if you stood at a point where you were basically level with the river and decided to go to my parents' house, you'd be moving in a continuous upward slope. That is, the river would have to do some serious rising in order to reach their house.

One thing about earthquakes...there is absolutely nothing you can do to really prepare...except to anticipate everything around you falling down...and no one can predict one yet... On a lighter note...Garrison Kellor actually said something funny this weekend..."Maybe we should name our Blizzards like the hurricanes...then more people would talk about them more, like the hurricaines...You,know...like.."Al"...Bob....Carl. ...Dave..Earl....then again...." Earthquakes are actually fun, until shit starts falling on top of you.
